  2. Workers Compensation and Personal Injury are similar areas of practice and it is certainly likely that your attorney handles both types of case that you have. Based on the information you have provided, I don’t see why there would be a conflict of interest.

  3. There is no reason a good WC atty couldn’t handle the PI/3rd party
    case too. Many PI attys don’t care about the comp atty, and fail to
    protect their fee structure. And, when the PI case settles out, and
    they all do, the WC claim doesn’t necessarily have to. The medical
    and wage replacement in the WC claim continue as long as there is
    disability, or statutory cap. The money you receive in the 3rd
    party case will first go to atty fees, costs then to your
    employer/WC carrier. Don’t expect much money for you, regardless of
    the number of attys you have.
