workman comp?

I got kicked in my knee at work. To my understanding workmans comp only pays if I’m gone for more than 2 weeks. I should put sick leave on my time card? Is that correct?

    Firstly being kicked in the knee at work does not sound like a job description you should be working to. Someone is at fault here and if its not you then you are entitled to further compensation such as pain and suffering, loss of living, etc. To handle this you need an attorney to look after your interests and get the best possible outcome.

  2. I am not sure where you are from, but my brother got cut pretty bad at work, and it went onto workmans comp. And my brother never had to pay a dime. Workmans comp paid for everything. IT is just a lot of paperwork. He never missed a day of work so. Hope this elped and good luck with the knee.

  3. Workmans comp will cover all your medical expenses, no copay at all for as long as you need treatment on the work related injury. As soon as you are out of work the benefits will kick in but you still get a salary from work because your days come out of your sick leave. In my case i was out for three months and my work kept paying my check (out of sick leave) and at the same time i got a crappy check from workmans comp. 60% of your regular check. Good luck

  4. Each state has different rules . . .
    Our state was first day for work injury & it had to be documented same day. Must go to the doctor and document the injury and answer “yes” in the work related section on the form.
    But you didn’t say where you were and these are NOT USA rules, they are state rules.
