hi the insurance is investigating my claim .they send me letter 1 month ago that by 08/02/08 they were going to make a decision ? why i havent got anithing i do have a lawyer he tells me just to wait ? why does my attorney says that the more they denied me the better for me later in court ?

  1. Once they make the decision, then they put it in writing, and they mail the decision to your attorney.

    It probably is sitting on his desk, unopened.

    You have to talk to your attorney about this. You WON’T get anything, once you have the attorney. All communication will go through the attorney.

  2. Well you should have a decision by now, unless state law tells you that they are not required to provide notice. Contact your attorney regarding this. You never know, the insurance company might have requested an extension of your claim and the work comp board approved it. Just because you haven’t heard much doesn’t mean much, each state is different than others, some have claimant’s wait 6 months and some are 30-90 days.
