where do i go from here.?

46yrs, got hurt at work 16yrs ago. lost workers comp case. that same year, i’m talking ruptured disc’s. i’ve been puttin out eversince general labor. now i’m to the point i can work 2 or 3 days pretty good then the pain is to much to be productive, no employer would keep me… last mri, doctor said back of a 90 yr old. l-1 thru l-4 herniated. [lower lumbar]. degenerative bone disease, arthritis. now i have muscle atrophy in left leg calf. [no muscle tissue]. both feet are in real pain [tendonitis] and a torn achillies tendon. right ankle. i think depression has taken my mind over. .. I’m too young to retire. and to old to keep up. 2 child support payments, 10 more yrs of payment there… mortgage and bills like everybody else.. 11th grade education… i’m lost guys. i know ssi will deny me ? they will say i can answer a phone, but how can i provide for kids on a min. salary, … ? kinda scared..

  1. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. You did not mention what state you are in and the laws per state are different from each other. You need to have your doctor put you on state disability until you get well and back on your feet. Once well, you will feel better about yourself and your outlook on life and be able to make a future for yourself. If you are financially strapped, most state courts will lower your support payments.   2. You do not know you would be denied for SSDI/SSI, and you won’t
    unltil/unless you apply. So, do it. Go to http://www.ssa.gov for
    additional information. And, don’t rely on a message board for
    answers to where you can work, or get money or benefits to support
    your family. If you can perform any type of sedentary work, then
    you should contact your state employment developement dept, and/or
    an employment agency. That is where you start looking for a job to
    support your family.
