when represented by a lawyer in workers compensation cases in georgia, what % does he get in settlement?
im currently out on workers comp. and have been for a year. now i’m finally getting back to maybe be able to be released by doctor, but will have some restrictions. so there will be a settlement but i cant remember what the lawyers % is. can anyone give me an estimate of his % of any settlement reached
It’s in the contract you signed with the lawyer.
Normally, it is 15%.
However, the specific amount withheld for attorney fees depends on what was agreed upon on the paperwork that was signed, when retaining legal representation.
