I am a 29 year old female, from work developed 2 torn disc and I am at the point of thinking about settling my case, keep in mind that I am unable to work I can’t do anything that life requires, and the Dr.s say that I will not benefit from surgery. I need some input as far as ideas of what I am to ask for or at least get. Thanks. Samantha.
I reside in Fl.

  1. Depends on the state you are in. Kansas is a “no fault” state, so the settlement is a math problem with the impairment rating being the most pertinent thing. That will likely be determined by 2 to 3 doctor opinions and a judge will literally average them. The higher the impairment rating, the higher the settlement.

It’s never enough to live on for the rest of your life, so don’t get your hopes up.

  2. The state here is Florida… ponygirl… where did you get that
    info…? It’s blatantly …averageing ratings is, well… wrong.
Samantha… go to your state web site and read about disability
ratings, and settlements to your claim. There is no money for pain
and suffering, or punitive damages. Dollars for indemnity are based
on pre determined scheduled awards based on the PD/PPD rating.
