What does the rating officer look for on C&P exam for PTSD to justify a rating percentage?

Do they look for the GAF, severity of the ptsd, etc. I have a copy of the exam. The examiner put down all my symptoms as either moderate or severe. i.e. “GAF 49, represents serious impairment in his social functioning and moderate impairments in occupational functioning and decreased productivity.”

  1. They want to know what caused your PTSD and it is best if you have documentation for it. Fights in the barracks, coming under attack, falling out of an airplane at 30,000 feet, etc. Elaborate. BS does not work well.

  2. Why?….. Do you want to fake the injury?….. Whatever happened to being honest and up front and letting the injury speak for itself?

PTSD is a real injury…..Those of us who suffer with it get tired of others causing the medical system to have to weed out the fakes. Causing the medical system to question and delay treatment while they try to determine if we are faking.
If you are injured….. be honest….do not play games….. you hurt us all when you fake symptoms
