my daughters fatheris due to recieve a settlement from workers comp.?
her dad owe $10,000 in back child support. not too long ago he asked me if i would give him some of the money from the settlement and i didnt understand why. ive been told by several people that by him owing back child support and then paying his attorny he probably wont be left with much, if any money, how much truth is there to it that child support arrears will be taken from his workers comp settlement?
If your child support order is registered with a maintenance enforcement agency, his maintenance arrears will be paid out of the compensation settlement.

I’m thinking there is a good chance. My friends ex is finally having to pay back child support for his son. It is a lot of money. They put an alert/block or whatever you call it on his car so he cant sell it for money as well as his retirment money so that he can’t cash it out and get the money. He even works for department of social health services..how backwards is that?
Anyways, if it is to the point where they are actually having him start to pay …I think it will come from anywhere. He had a chance to pay before it went this far and he blew it. Now he has to pay for his mistakes. Not too smart…
