I had to sue my work comp ins company. I had surgery on L5 s1 disc when I was 20 I lost 10% movement in my lower back. I live in Indiana and I recivied all medical bills paid and a lump sum of 10,000.00 and 2,500.00 went to my attorney so i ended up with 7,500. I had it for a herniated disc I did great for 9 years but just this past thanksgiving I was coughing and I think I herniated another disc. Now they want to fuse my back. I dont want to go through that ever again but i dont want to lose the use of my right leg either. Ive been in serious pain since and lost reflexes in my right leg Im only 29 this sucks so bad. Good luck with yours and watch coughing hard or snezzing.
It doesn’t matter what others did with there claims…injuries,
settlement, etc. Yours is unique to you and your injury. You should
be concentrating on treatment, recovery and a successful return to
work. Not who settle for how much, or what your windfall amount of
money might be. Get over this thought process and get back to
treatment to your injury.
