a person to sign up for SSI,then hold against them the settlement that SSDI paid?
I mean they claim one has nothing to do with the other yet from all of my paperwork its like they sleep together..
Settlement for SSDI made SSI penalize me for that income. How is that legal.?
In the beginning I got a settlement from workers comp,SSDI and SSI
penalized me.
Then the back pay from SSDI,not only did they skip a year but also used it as income and I was penalized again.

Now I get another letter saying I owe SSI my monthly check because they paid to much since My settlement money is still in the bank????
Because I should have zero money??
So how can they not be sleeping in the same bed?
Seriously need help here. They have chisled this money to honestly down to nothing and I swear I dont understand it,
Let me put it to you like this it is even lower than there so called poverty line. I cannot rent my own house because I barely get enough money to pay for the room I live in.Thank god I dont eat alot.
This is no joke someone got any answers I would surely like to hear them.

  1. Find yourself an attorney who specializes in social security questions.*

  2. You need an attorney that knows social security and their massive bureaucracy of drones and red tape.

Seriously… they will beat you down for years if you let them. They are in government drone jobs, they get paid whether you do or not.

Do you watch daytime TV? There ought to be adds from several attorney offices for such services. It won’t hurt to at least call them. Or look around your local area for an attorney that specializes in this matter.

  3. Visit our website at http://www.socialsecurityadviceonline We would need more detail, but definitely may be able to help you. Many mistakes are made by SS with regard to SSI and SSID payments.

  4. It’s not a matter of being ‘legal” or “illegal”, SSA has
minimum/maximum rules for monthly income to qualify for SSI
benefits. SSDI is a insurance coverage for when you become
disabled, you pay a monthly premium for these benefits during your
working life… FICA deductions. SSI/Social Security Supplemental
Income benefits are asset based… you do not pay any premiums for
these benefits… SSI is another program as welfare, though funded
by SSI and the State you live in. A back due SSDI award will affect
your “assets” and eligibility for SSI benefits…until the SSDI is
    prorated and used up.
