im on workers comp and im about to have surgery on my cervical disc?
i was injured do to to my supervisors negligence so my workers comp has been a breeze, no problems what so ever,dont feel the need to get a lawyer, an ajuster called me the other day to run down my rights etc..,he mentioned that after surgery when the dr says im 100 percent they ll reach a settlement… it does nt sound true, if the dr says im 100 % can i still get a settlement… should i consult a lawyer and another dr

I’d be more worried about ever being 100 percent after spinal surgery much more than about the lawyers. I’m sure you’ll have plenty of time to sue later.
The claims adjuster doesn’t mean you are”100%” as pre injury. It
means you are MMI/Max Medical Improvement. Once you Dr releases you
at MMI, your condition will be rated for impairment/partial
disability, and that rating will determine the amount of indemnity
due. WC “settlements” are pre determined by law, and limited to the
permanant partial disability you surrer directly due to this
injury. There is no money for pain and suffering, punitive damages
or lost wages. Consult with an attorney…there is no fee for this.
And if there is a fee, a judge would have to approve/award it at
the time your claim resolves.
