was assaulted at work, hit in my back I cannot sit in intense pain, can i qualify for disability?
and my workers comp was denied. im seeking physical therapy, i cant walk properly, it hurts immensely in my lower back, hamstrings, and butt, and i want to scream even sitting for 5 minutes. my job is a 9-5 sit down. if i get a drs note can i get time off of work for a month at least? what do i need to do? what is required from my dr and my employer?

  1. file assault charges with the police and ask them to pay medical and lost wages
    go to the Dr office and ask them to do testing for the pain

  2. you need to go to your boss and tell him what happened and when .give him the name of the employee and the date and time this happened. tell your boss you want to file charges with the police and if your boss won’t do anything then go file charges yourself and tell the police what happened. don’t wait to do this as you only have so long to do something about it. if your boss doesn’t do anything retain a attorney for yourself as they will get to the bottom of this for you.

  3. Did you appeal the comp denial…? Have you spoken to a WC attorney
    Even though this could be civil/criminal court, there could still
    be a comp claim accepted, but you have to go after the denial.
    Don’t just accept the IC denial…
