  1. Depends on the agreement. Generally a comp judge or medicator must
    approve the settlement for adequacy. Some states provide for 30
    days cooling off period. Some judges sign off that day. Some IC’s
    pay right away, some wait to the end allowed, usually 30 days from
    when the judge signs off. You haven’t provided you state, or enough
    info to give you a real answer.
