Just wondering if anyone has an idea as to a dollar amount I would be looking at for radial damage to my right thumb. It’s a workers comp claim going thru Travelers Insurance Co. I have no feeling in the tip of my thumb and I have had surgery with no avail. Has anyone had this happen or no of someone with a similar case. The insurance co want to close the claim next month and just wondering what dollar amount I should aim for…

  1. Go to the website for your state workers compensation. they should have a chart available listing various injuries and the Permanant Partial Disability ratings. Good luck.

  2. Your state web site will provide the info on scheduled loss awards,
or how indemnity is calculated and paid. There will be no
information on average awards, or % of PD, or impairment for
specific injuries. The laws provide for pre set number of weeks
payments for each level of loss/disability you suffer due to your
injury. There is no negotiation to that schedule. You cannot force
a lump sum cash settlement to your claim. Those weekly payments
continue until the indemnity is satisfied, and you keep the rights
to treatment access based on need. If you do not have any permenant
impairment, but are released to return to work with out
restrictions… you would not be eligible for any indemnity award
    or cash settlement.
