I need to know how much is paid on all the various and different jobs per hour or per $100.00 paid.
I need to know specifically how much the job of welders, boilermakers, maintanence, office workers, job rates are paid.
The BWC site requires a person to work for the state or be registered with them as an employer before you can get a user name and password to access this information on their site.
What is so secretive about this information???
None of these answers helped…but thank you so much for trying to help.

Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Lowers Rates for Public Employers
Posted by LexisNexis Workers’ Compensation Law Center Staff

COLUMBUS, OH – The Ohio BWC has announced that many of Ohio’s public employers will see an overall drop in workers’ compensation premium rates following the BWC Board of Directors’s decision to decrease rates by an average of five percent beginning January 1, 2009.

The rates for individual Public Employer Taxing Districts (PECs) entities (approximately 3,900 Ohio cities, counties, townships, villages, schools and special districts) will differ based on their own claims history. Some will see slight increases while others will see decreases, but the total overall change will be a decrease of five percent from the current year. The BWC Board of Directors is expected to vote on rule changes to set the actual rates for each PEC industry group at its November meeting.

i wasn’t sure what exactly you were looking for, i think it all depends on what job you have, or had, and what happened. it also depends on whether your job has Workman’s comp.

    hope this helps

  2. Classification books are typically tiny, tiny print dozens of pages long. There are literally thousands of class codes and rates.

No one can type it all out here.

But, in OH, it’s a monopolistic state, so the state sets the rate. Most agents should have the rates. Keep in mind, they are subject to a minimum premium, also, and expense constant, and experience rating.

It’s not that the information is secret. It’s that it costs money to maintain, and they recoup the costs by charging for access.

I could give you a rough estimate, but not specific rates for OH. But a local P&C insurance agent, should be able to give you the specific rate.
