Does a workers lose his rights to workers compensation if after an injury on the job and they went and work ?

my friend was sexually assaulted on the job and the person who assaulted her got arrested. she went to work somewhere else, but she was emotionally stressed out and afraid that it would happen to her again on the new job so she stop working. now can she file for workers compensation from the job she was assaulted from. but the insurance carrier is denying her claim. what can she do now

  2. An attorney would need to know much more to answer your question, since it’s not clear why you believe that injury resulting from a harassment claim is covered by worker’s comp.

    Your friend should contact an attorney about pursuing the harassment claim outside of worker’s compensation, if there is a basis. The fact that the party was arrested would tend to support the claim of harassment; whether the employer is liable in any way depends on many factors.
