I was injured on May 24 2006 and am considered Temporarily totally disabled until the courts rule otherwise. I have been collecting workers compensation for all of the 2007 year, do I need to fill out a special form for taxes. I also heard that the tax rebate checks apply to those who are veterans and those who are disabled, I am a veteran and I am disabled, how do I get this refund check everyone is talking about. I also go to school at a community college can I get money back from that? I just don’t have any w-2s or anything like that just something from social security stating the income from workmans compensation, how do I file my taxes?
I have a report from Social security showing payments I received from Workmans compensation!!!!!!!!!!Any more detailed, read the question!!!!!!!!!
I am getting disability checks from VA, I get about 120.00 a month and have a 0 percent rating, so am I eligible for the rebate check then?

  1. You can get all your answers to filing and what forms to use on the IRS web site- irs.gov.

  2. Income from social security is not workers compensation. Workers comp is tax free, social security may or may not be taxable depending on info not provided.

Your question needs more facts to get a correct answer

  3. Workers comp is not taxable so you don’t need to file on it. And workers comp isn’t eligible income to qualify you for the rebate – VA disability checks are, but being a veteran and being on workers comp doesn’t count, so if you aren’t getting VA disability, or some other income you don’t mention, then you aren’t eligible for a rebate check.

  4. to get info on the economic incentive payments (tax rebate checks) coming out this summer, go to the irs.gov website for more info. If you file a 2007 return, you are set, just sit back and wait. If you do not file a 2007 return, you need to send in an info return to get on their list for checks. They explain it further there.
