  1. same goes for SSD. many have to wait 2 years for a hearing, all the while they have no income coming in.

see if you can get help from family/friends pending your settlement.

    good luck

  3. Depends on where you are with your settlement and what company you are dealing with.

If you already agreed to a settlement amount you can contact your adjuster (if you don’t have an attorney) and ask if they can send you a small amount of money, like $1000. What you will have to do is sign the documents and return it back. Once it’s returned back than you’ll be notified that you will receive a check for $1000 but your settlement will be $1000 less. You can only do this once you agreed to the settlement and signed the documents agreeing to the settlement.

If your claim is still ongoing and nothing has been resolved than you can’t ask for it because your claim is still undergoing litigation.

Again, it depends on the company, adjuster and your status of the claim.

    Good luck

  4. If you signed off on the settlement documents…you’ll have to
wait. Check should be in the mail witin 30 days of the judge
review/approval. As you have been released to return to work, you
should contact your employer and arrange for that… if the ER has
no work avaiable for you…file for UI benefits, and begin your job
search. There are no more comp benefits available to you.
