Can you accrue vacation time during workman’s comp in Texas?
My husband was out for 7 weeks on workman’s comp for a major Texas company and is now being told that he is missing about 10 hours of vacation due to not accruing time during the 7 weeks of workman’s comp. (Not stated either way in company policy.) Is that legal in Texas?
Thanks for you help.

As a general rule you accrue vacation time based on “worked hours” if you are not “working” you are not accruing.
They only have to state how vacation is calculated, but they don’t have to state all possible scenarios.
vacation time in Tx is not governed by any law they can change or take it away at will, so the answer is whatever their policy is
Sorry but the company can do this. It is company policy not law that decides this. Vacation time is a benefit and can be given and taken away by the company.
