Can workers comp deny payment of medical bills after signing admission of liability?

suppose to be settling Wc case and defense requested 20 day extension after IME of their choice was completed. Now sent denial on medical bills related to accident with the reason as not preauthorized. Had emergent surgery when they were denying payment of everything. Sought legal assistance after that. They have signed 2 admission of liability statements.

  2. unfortunately
    yes it can be denied
it sounds like the IME was found in the employers favor
sometimes the employer will “play games” with the injured person and make them suffer emotionally and financially until the case is settled

It took me and my attorney 1.7 years to get compensation for injury /lost wages/ medical bills I paid for Out of pocket
