Can an employee still work while collecting Workman’s Comp.?

If and employee becomes injured and is temporarily moved to a different position with lighter work, can they still claim Workman’s Comp.

  1. No. Once your are earning income (either at your regualr rate or even at a reduced rate-if job duties changed, you can not claim worker’s comp. If you are perm injured, you can sue.

  2. That’s not true KELLY D… in some states there are TPD/Temp
    Partial Disability benefits paid. You are still subject to the
    min/max TTD/TPD rates your average weekly wage will support.
    TTD/TPD wage loss benefits are paid when there is a wage
    loss…benefits are paid by the IC, not the employER.
