  1. Well, it’s not a chart, it’s a flipping BOOK. And each company has it’s own book. It’s going to depend on the type of disability, how many more years until retirement age, the ability to retrain for a different job, etc. Benefits vary wildly by state – some states, you get cut off after two or three years, no matter what.

If you’re looking for pain and suffering – there is no pain and suffering payout for workers comp. It’s PURELY lost wages and medical costs, and regulated BY STATE.

  2. There are NO LOST WAGES paid in any WC settlement. There are wage
replacement benefits paid while you treat/recover from an injury,
and medical care provided. IF there is permenant impairment due to
this injury there would be benefits paid based on the % rated. WC
is about paying benefits, not settlements. Any cash settlement you
accept would simply be for your consideration to drop any further
claim for benefits to this injury. If you’d provide your state, it
would be easier to offer more on WC benefits you may be eligible
for. NO indemnity is determined by the employer or WC ins carrier,
this is pre determined by STATE.
