  2. Congress needs to stop paying unemployment to these job dodgers and buy them one way plane tickets out of the country before we go bankrupt!
I, along with several of my republican colleagues are currently working on a plan to end unemployment permanently by attaching a provision to the next budget bill that will end unemployment for good!

  4. @grimsleyo5 WEll, have you gotten rid of your cable TV? are you baking from scratch? Have you ditched your cell phone? have you learned to kill or trap a few squirrels to eat? I am serious! What are you doing to be self sufficient? I grind my own wheat and bake and I work full time, I am ready! I have no debt cause I lived as a responsible adult, Look at all your expenditures and stop crying for the Govt to baby you! It’s OVER! OVER! We are broke and it ain’t coming back and no R or D will save

  5. @1pcdoc Uh, Not exactly. If we outsourced firefighting and privatized it and people paid 24.0 a month , then we would be OK, if the people pay it.. Many Firefighters Unions have created their own down fall with bloated pensions and corruption from above! I don’t blame the union members, but some of them voted in this crruption for their own monetary gain. We reap what we sow. We won’t all die tommorrow if firefighters get laid off, as we are doing in many parts of the country right now!

  6. I am one of those people who was stupid to not care about people who were unemployed until it happened to be. I have a son and now my life has turned upside down. My unemployment ran out a month ago…so what now.. the whole time I’ve been on unemployment I’ve look for jobs. I get interviews but no call backs. So i know not everyone is a dead beat.

  8. @lordkain75 just so we’re cool i respect your opinion and the scum move comment wasn’t ment to be an insult towards u.

  9. @lordkain75 it’s not really a question of sitting on their asses. there r areas of the country that r jobless wastelands filled with people who really have nowhere else to go. The business closings have added to the existing problem. Example Blockbuster has stated theey r closing their 2000+ store in early 2011 that creates approx 25,000 – 40,000 more unemployed. There really is only so many jobs available. u mention lawn care too bad the illegals have that one

  10. @abrnt1 u make some good points the illegal are stealing our jobs & the government wont do anything about it. you can call it a scum move or not but i stand by what i say.i blame the unemployed for sittin on there asses for 99 weeks and then cry when the ckecks run out & i blame the government for extending this again

  11. 33 billion? thats it? how bout 333 billion into the US economy? just give the money to people. the money is there. it’s stacked up just sitting there. let the terrorists come here on US soil. i’m out of work, i may as well do something and get those billions of dollars spent here, on US soil. i’m not affraid of “them”, never have been.

  12. conservatives, liberals who give a shit anymore. they have all this money, spend it here in america. god damn sob’s.

    #49181
  13. @lordkain75 that’s not a very realistic statement at all. There r areas of r nation that were decimated by job closings. I live by a couple golf courses and seen them replace their groundskeepers with illegal labor (taking jobs from actual americans). Dealing with the illegal alien problem would help the unemployment problem. Blaming the unemployed is a scum move no matter how you look at it.
Also the jobs don’t exist anymore.

  14. @thisisrobertb that’s a statement more directed toward welfare than unemployment

  15. Amazing isn’t it GW destroys r economy causing record unemployment. Now people want to end the unemployment benefits. The number of jobs that r gone for good is insane. Countless people have spent over a year attempting to find work (the job market is horrible) with no luck. If the government needs to make cuts don’t cut unemployment go after welfare. The people who get unemployment paid for it. The people who get welfare support never pid a dime for it.

  16. @lordkain75 It is the imaginary jobs that will hire people.

    #49185
  17. @InterntzTrollerinz in 20 years i have had 5 jobs and i have never taken unemployment and i dont need to, i am not a tax taker i am a tax payer. if you send in hundreds of applications in and still dont get hired i would say that there is a problem with you so dont blame the jobs they are simply looking for somebody more skilled than you

    #49186
  18. @lordkain75 Ya because it isnt like you had to work to be on unemployment.

    #49187
  19. @JoeyFudd Ya we gotta look up to the hippies who smoked and exploit the government. Now those are the good people to model after.

    #49188
  20. @ForceOfWizardry Ya after all 2+2=5 that means there are plenty of jobs even though there are less jobs then there are applicants.

    #49189
  21. @payazaiskool Ya everyone would rather collect a few hundred dollars a month then work and recieve a reliable steady check.

    #49190
  22. @lordkain75 ya working by sending in hundreds and hundreds of job applications and still not getting hired. I guess that can be called working.

    #49191
  23. @BlueSkies360 Ya i hate firefighters. Especially those volunteer firefighters on 9/11 that are disabled from injuries now. They are just lazy and dont want to work.

    #49192
  24. @BlueSkies360 I see you are having fun working in a Chinese propaganda office.

  25. Im glad that those that need this money are now getting the checks again. Please do everything you can to obtain employment of some kind because this is the last extension that you will get. By the end of November, when this current extension expires and if you are still unemployed, then you are on your own. I suggest maybe doing some door to door landscaping or something just to get some money flowing other then unemployment.
