workers comp..back injury…settlement question?
I fell down a flight of molded or mildewed stairs at work back in august. I’ve been out of work every since. I have 3 or 4 bulging disks in my lower spine and can’t do much without pain. The mediation was supposed to happen in the morning but my attorney tried to call it off or postpone it based on they’ve ‘overpaid’ my benefits by 100 dollars a week and wants to settle before they notice. So they first offered 3500 to which was basically laughed at. how much should I settle for? I’m now 23 and have never dealt with anything like this before. My attorny will be calling me back shortly what would be a realistic number I can give him??
Based on your age and the need for injections, I say a conservative amount would be $7K for future medical care buy out.
