I was terminated due to personal medical conditions and for filing workers comp. I have been told i have a case by several attorneys but can not find one who is familiar with sueing the school districts since it involves sueing my union also. Can anyone refer me to an attorney who is familiar and willing to take them on?

  1. I really doubt you were fired for filing for workers comp.

You are a member of the all powerful public employees union, either SEIU or CSEA, so getting fired for any reason is not an option.

You have to just flat out refuse to come to work, or actually shot someone to get fired from the state, and then even if you are fired, the union will get you reinstated with all your back pay and benefits.

  2. I am assuming that “l.a.u.s.d.” means Los Angeles Unified School District.

You may not want or need to hire a private attorney. I recommend that you contact the Workers’ Compensation office and see if they have people who handle this sort of claims.
