i was injured at work should i get a attorney?
Ok so here’s what’s been going on since my last post.I went to a doctor my aunt told me about and this doctor is great she took me off of work for 2 week’s and she is sending me threw physical therapy. She did a nerve test on me not the EMG which is going to come next but she say’s that she think’s the nerve in my neck is causing the numbness, tingling feeling all the way down my arm and into my wrist she ruled out carpal tunnel and she doesn’t think it is tendonitis either she said the doctor i had seen was wrong for sending me back to work when i was re-injured and she thinks that i should contact an attorney about this and she want’s worker’s comp to open a new case on my neck she feel’s that my neck could be part of the injury i had recived from work and if worker’s comp doesn’t want to open another case she need’s it in wrighting so now that my boss has a note from the doctor for me to be off work for 2 weeks they should pay me for the 2 week’s i had already missed right?
They shouldn’t pay you for time off. That’s what workmans comp is for.
You should find an attorney who specializes in Worker Comp. cases. I did years ago and got a life-time award for the leg I broke on the job. Meaning anytime I have to take off work for my leg, they have to pay me—and all my leg-related medical bills.
Workmans comp is to pay you for the time that you have to be out due to a work related injury. If your doctor thinks you need to continue to be out of work, then yes workmans comp should pay for it.
