I cut my finger! how workers compensation works?
I cut my finger at work accidentally, my employer took me to the hospital, I got a case and a claim number, and I would like to know whats going to happen? I have an attorney, but I am not clever enough to ask him if am I getting some money for my finger, besides my disability check! I don’t know anything about my rights and everything, all I know is that I don’t feel good to go back to work, because I lost almost all my force in my hand, I can’t lift more than 5lbs. Some people have tell me that I suppose to get a lot of money, besides my disability check, that’s nothing!
So my question is how much will I get, and how long is going to take for it? Is being 5 month since my accident happen. And in case is different in every state I live in California, please help, I will give you points!

It is going to take some time for your claim to go through all the red tape. It could take up to a year or more. You will get a lump sum for the claim, but I don’t know how much. I believe it will be a portion of your annual income. Your employer will pay all the medical bills. see if you can find some answers by Googling: Workers Compensation in California.
