can some one withdraw a workers compensation law suit against an employer at any time?

I hurt my self at work 2 yrs ago and my case still open, it has caused so much stress on my family both financially and emotionally that I just want to put an end to it, find a job that does not requier standing up an go on with my life. can I do that with out any negative consecuenses?
