Medical leave from work: Can my employer force me to go to a doctor
appointed by them for a 2nd opinion?
Currently on a medical leave of abscence from work. My employer is requesting me to go for another appraisal of my injuries with a physician appointed by them. Is this legal? Do they have the right to force me to it?
Any answers will be highly appreciated – thanks.

i don’t think so, contact your state official for FLMA…I think they can ask for a second opinion, if they pay for it, and they can approve the physician, not choose it.
If you are taking paid leave through policy of your employer, yes they can. You are entitled to 12 weeks unpaid fmla if you are in the US. If you are taking a paid leave of absence, it is because the employer provides it, and yes, they have a right to confirm.
YEs…YES yes they can get a medical evaluation by a physician of
their choice, as long as they are paying the bills. You did not say
what kind of leave you are on… Workers Compensation disability
leave, personal medical and FMLA… which is it…?
