injury at work compensation?

I slipped over at work and really damaged my knee. It was their fault, they didnt put up a sign and I’ve made a claim. I’ve had to leave work because its too painful to walk on so much, and I’m really depressed.
How much money do you think I will get?

  1. You will only be entitled to be reimbursed for actual medical costs. Your injury is nowhere near severe enough to warrant any pain and suffering award.

So, you can expect to be in the same financial condition you were prior to the accident, not better and not worse. You won’t get any windfall, that is for sure.

Hopefully their insurance investigation will not uncover any negligence on your part to exercise due care. If there are obvious hazards the lack of signage won’t give you much of an advantage.

  2. WC is no fault Jimmy, you don’t have to prove the employer is
negligent. Nor is the employee at fault. You should be
concentrating on treatment and recovery of your injury here, not
how much money you may be eligible for. ONLY IF there is permenant
impairment/disability DUE to this injury would you be eligible for
any money for your injury. Once you are released to return to work
with no restrictions or need for further treatment, and no PD %,
there will be NO MONEY. Pain and depression are not compensable in
a WC claim. Everyone suffers some level of “pain” and goes to work
every day… your “depression” is due to your appearant need for
monetary recovery due to your injury. Get well, and go back to
    work.

  3. It sounds like you’re creating problems yourself by trying to solve
this issue instead of looking at why their is a problem in the
    first place
