  1. Call your local (usually county) bar association. Ask them for names of attorneys that handle Workers’ Compensation law.

When you call the law office(s), insist on speaking with the Lawyer. Do not tell all the little details of your matter to the Secretary – save the details for the Attorney. When you finally get the Lawyer on the phoneline, ask him/her:
-Do they give FREE, initial consultations?
-How much do they charge? At what point do they get paid?
-Do they accept payments on their accounts?
-Can they help you? OR Refer you to someone who can help you?

    Good luck.

  2. Get online information about this matter. There are plenty websites that you may visit to get preliminary info about this. some online lawyers do provide online consultation for free so that you could make use of this facilities. Since may be you’re quite a busy person to search the websites, i just made some searching for potentially good websites that may help you. Here are they >> http://www.injurylawyers.cn
There is other website as well that may be worth to visit for your reference >> http://www.lawinjury.cn

  3. You can get WC atty referrals for the CAAA/Calif Applicants Atty
Assoc. http://www.caaa.org. There is a search feature by zip code. Attys
in Calif cannot charge a fee for consultation. If there is a fee
paid, it would be based on the amount of award/settlement in the
claim. Fees are not set by law, but must be awarded by a WCAB
judge. Fees range from 9% to 12% and generally are capped at 15%.
There is no money in WC for pain and suffering or punitive damages.
You must be able to prove the hearing loss is due to the
employment, and occurred in the course of performing the job dutues
    as defined.
