Take/send the bill to the CA/claims adjuster handling your benefits...and be sure the hospital is notified, in writing this is treatment for a industrial injury, and not to turn this over to collections, or report to the credit reporting agencies. You are NOT responsible for the bill...ever. Your employer is responsible for this bill, regardless of insurance coverage. The ER is liable for the injury and associated benefits. My husband got injured recently and had to go to the hospital for xrays. The bill came to our house also even though it wasn't suppose to. I guess there was just a mistake he took the bills to work and HR said they would take care of it. Did you have someone document the injury when it happened?
