Information for WI injured workers is here
www.dwd.state.wi.us/wc/workers/default.htm You can also get
assistance from the WI WC commission...they have ombudsman there to
help you, and encourage
this...www.dwd.state.wi.us/wc/about_us/direct.htm I am curious
however, why you quit your job... by doing this, you are
voluntarily removing yourself from the labor market... and, could
lose your entitlement to wage loss benefits/TTD if your Dr says you
cannot work due to your injury. Take/send the bill to the CA/claims
adjuster handling your benefits...and be sure the hospital is
notified, in writing this is treatment for a industrial injury, and
not to turn this over to collections, or report to the credit
reporting agencies. You are NOT responsible for the bill...ever.
Your employer is responsible for this bill, regardless of insurance
coverage. The ER is liable for the injury and associated benefits.
Your ER is the insured party here, not you.

Your ex employer doesn't pay this bill. His worker's compensation insurance pays it. You need to address this with the insurance company. Your former employer has no control over this, and is not responsible for the payment. Their human resources department can give you the contact information.

I live in Wisconsin. My husband got injured recently and had to go to the hospital for xrays. The bill came to our house also even though it wasn't suppose to. I guess there was just a mistake he took the bills to work and HR said they would take care of it. Did you have someone document the injury when it happened? If so get a copy of that documentation and use it if you need to.

I f the accident was really an accident and not just incompetence or mistake having to do nothing in your line of work then you should talk to a lawyer about it and I am pretty sure you would have a workers comp case in no time.

Call a lawyer. But even until workers comp decides to pay you are still responsible for that bill.... it goes on your credit not worker's comp... find a lawyer for some counsel

They have to pay.

Threaten with lawyer, and then call a lawyer if they still don't pay.
