Does anyone know of any lawyer in NJ specializing in workers comp./wrongful term. who work on contingency?

Threatened over work injury,while recieving treatment thru workers comp.working the whole time.LAID OFF[due to no work].Meanwhile company was running ads for employment before & after I was laid off for sometime.

  1. Try doing a search on targetlaw. Read over their websites to see if they work on a contingency fee basis. I know personal injury lawyers do and I’m assuming personal injury is not far from workers comp.

  2. Because you were laid off does not mean you were illegally
    terminated. As long as all employees were treated in the same
    manner…there is no discrimination. That your employer was
    advertising for new hires doesn’t mean anything. Many employers lay
    off or terminate, at will, long term employees with the intention
    of reducing their benefits costs. New hires often are temp or
    working less than 32 hours per week, part time it’s called, and
    therefore are not eligible for the GHP/group health plan insurance
    the employer may provide. There are any number of reasons an
    empoyer may make “at will” employment decisions… that doesn’t
    mean any of those are illegal. Begin a new job search, in earnest,
    thats’ the best way to begin taking care of yourself, and family
    again. Going back to work, sooner than later is in your best
    interests.
