Work related injuries are mostly covered by worker’s compensation law minus negligence or the use of a defective product. These suits vary in verdicts but most are settled and the terms are not disclosed.

not lots just enough in a settlement, nothing life changing. Two people, they both got 20,000 dollars
You cannot sue your employer for a industrial injury. Filing a
claim for benefits under your state WC laws is the exclusive
remedy. But for VERY FEW exceptions… awards/settlements are based
on the resulting permenant impairment or disability resulting from
your injury. There is NO money for pain and suffering, NO money for
punitive damages, and NO MONEY for lost wages. All industrial
injury/illness for a compensable claim are governed by the workers
compensation laws of your state. Unless there is a 3rd party
liability claim included in recovery, the money is pretty much nil.
IF there is 3rd party settlement, the employer/ins carrier is
entitled to reimbursement of the money they paid in benefits.
