Can you join the military with an old head injury?
Can you join the Army National guard with an old head injury? I got shot 16 years ago. I talked to a recruiter and he said get your medical records together and fill out the paper work. I just wanted to know if anyone has any experience in this matter.
Thanks

They’ll have you sign a waiver saying that if you get hurt when you’re in they’re not held responsible. Basically they just want you to have some kind of document saying that it’s a pre-existing condition so that if something happens they don’t have to pay out of their pockets. And the reason to this is because if something happens when you’re in, you’ll get medically discharged and receive some kind of compensation for it.
