Ok i am 18yr old male trying to get a job at the post office but i read on the application that all males must be registered with Selective services.. Does this exempt me? i had a very bad football injury that i will not recover from anytime in the future so i checked section B.. Please help me does this mean i cant work at the post office? if so is there a way to register myself and cancel my previous section B filing?

  1. You are registered with selective service. As long as they have you on file, you have satisfied the requirements and the post office can hire you.

  2. As long as you registered you are fine. The post office is only interested that you did file. Call selective service if you wish to change your filing.
