Question about suing?
Question by Inav8r: Question about suing?
I work at ups and i recently had an on the job injury. Im unable to work because i cannot use my right hand. Workers comp said they might not cover because i was “horsing around”. I had intentions to horse around but wasn’t at the time. This type of injury has happened before and they didn’t take any preventative measures until after my injury; so my question is do i have grounds to sue them?

First of all, why ask us out here? Do you honestly think you are going to get competent legal advice this way?
Hire a workman’s comp lawyer. They’re all over the place and they often work on a contingency.
Your lawyer will have to file a Workman’s Compensation claim. To what extent you were horsing around and how you got injured, that’s all fact issues that some administrative law judge will have to decide.

Not if you were horsing around. Plus, you yourself said you had “intentions” of horsing around. So, if any witnesses state you were horsing around, you are out of luck.
