“Gaming” The Workers Comp System Of California-Mother Of Injured Agraquest Biotech Worker Speaks Out At CA Commission On Health and Safety and Workers Compensation On December 10, 2009 at a meeting of the California Commission on Health and Safety and Workers Compensation, Sandi Trend mother of injured Agraquest biotech worker David Bell wanted to find out about a comment that insurance companies were “gaming” the system. Angie Wei, chair of the commission and CA AFL-CIO Legislative Director said the workers comp system was being “gamed”. Wei and the CA AFL-CIO had a previously had a “neutral” position on the so called “reform” of Workers Comp by the SB899 bill pushed by the governor. David Bell was nearly killed by Agraquest owner Pam Marrone’s lack of proper health and safety protection at the pesticide genetics laboratory and Marrone denied workers compensation coverage of David Bell to limit her liabilities. That new coloquialism “gaming” certainly highlights the fact that those commission members are quite familiar with the fraudulent and totally morally corrupt activity that the insurance companies are trying to legitimize. If they fail to do anything then you know they are part of it, the next step would be to ascertain each commission member’s personal connections with the guilty companies (both insurance and biotech) in order to expose them.
Good on you Sandi keep up the pressure they cannot keep avoiding the issues forever especially when there is question of their commission effectiveness or validity in the public arena
Pam MARRONE and her New Zealand scientists Peter WIGLEY ,and at least 52 other people involved , need to have criminal charges laid against them for Crimes against humanity.
