i am a self contracter i sub work from someone that someone called me to help the shingle company load one of his roofs so i could do it at a later date well we loaded the roof and the man who had the shingles let us take his shingle boomto get off the roof thats a conveyer belt i rode down another guy followed the woman got up there was not paying attention and the paddle from conveyer hit her knocked her off the conveyer she hit the roof then the ground broke both ankles i took her to the hospital she had told them it was not work related cuase she had dirty urine week later she is tyring to sue any one and everyone i had no insurance or coverage but is was not my equipment that caused her to fall whos liable thank you

Obviously the public school system is liable, because you were never taught punctuation. Sorry – just can’t follow the story. Get a lawyer.

You as her employer are liable, you may be able to recover some damages from the equipment owner/user and or the property owner. But in any case you are screwed. It is stupid to not have insurance. Start hiding your assets, empty your bank accounts and hide your cash, get your own shyster because the sharks are on their way to rip you apart.
In some state you can be criminally prosecuted for your actions: Not having workers comp insurance and I would guess that since you don’t have insurance you are also unlicensed. Learn your lesson from this. Don’t cut corners when it comes to insurance and licenses.
