A question to the community:
Since 2006, I was just looking for an answer to problems like those I
I had to face after having an accident at work, 2 operations, having been denied the opportunity to return to work unless I was 100% of my total capacity. in November 2007, My Workers Compensation lawyer made me sign a compensation agreement . Never thought that this meant the loss of my employment. I would like to know how my case will fit under. What clause of the law might be my problem represented. I was Diagnosed as 17% Permanent Disability. The company does not accept me again, I do not have a job, they made me lose my job, I tended to feel a trap. having signed the economic agreement of my workers compensation, signed my unemployment? I went to several
organizations such as Department of Fair Employment and Housing, Civil Rights, Discrimination, and so on until now, no response at all. What do you recommend?

I would go to the American Bar Association web page and find your local bar association. (Go here http://www.abanet.org/legalservices/findlegalhelp/main.cfm?id=CA and select your state.) Then I would call the association and ask:
1) what law specialty your case would fall into
2) for referral to a good lawyer.
If you can’t afford a lawyer, the web page above also tells you how to find free legal counsel in your state.
Good luck,
Patty
